We install DogWatch systems across Richmond & Central Virginia. Being an authorized dealer is a brand relationship, not a branch office, so the person who designs your boundary is the person who buries the wire, runs your dog’s first training session, and answers the phone a year later.
Superior Dog Fence is an authorized DogWatch® dealer. DogWatch is a national brand rather than a franchise, so its dealers are locally owned and run their own businesses.
Everything on this page describes what Superior Dog Fence does. Anything that belongs to DogWatch is theirs to describe, not ours to paraphrase.
Who you’re actually hiring
DogWatch makes the equipment. We’re the local company that installs it.
The dealer badge is easy enough to check: the gear going into your yard is DogWatch, and the company putting it there is local, owned by the person who will be standing in your driveway.

The transmitter on your wall and the receiver collar on your dog are DogWatch hardware, and we're an authorized DogWatch dealer. We service what we install. We'll show you the exact equipment going in when we walk the property with you.
The business is locally owned
DogWatch is a national brand rather than a franchise, so its dealers own their businesses and run them their own way. Superior is one of those businesses: Richmond & Central Virginia only, owned and run by the person who shows up at your door.
The same person, start to finish
David answers the phone, designs the boundary, installs it, runs the first training session, and takes the service calls afterwards. No answering service, no second crew, no subcontractor.

The dealer label is background. These are the specifics that decide whether a hidden fence is any good to own three years from now.
A collar battery, about 2 years
The receiver collars we install run on a battery that lasts roughly 2 years, which keeps the ongoing cost of owning the system low and predictable.
No subscription, no ongoing plan
Nothing we sell needs a monthly plan to keep working. Ongoing cost comes down to a collar battery every couple of years, plus any service you choose to ask for.
Most dogs trained in about 7 days
We run the first session with you on installation day and hand over all the training materials. Most dogs are trained within about 7 days from there. See how training works.
A one-year dog containment guarantee
If you run into trouble with training in the first year after installation, we come back out and work on it with you at no charge. That is free professional training help. It is not a promise about what your dog will or won’t do, and not a refund.
Two warranties, not one
The equipment carries DogWatch’s warranty; we warrant our installation for 30 days. The written terms are what govern. The warranty page takes it apart category by category.[VERIFY before launch: which components DogWatch covers, the claims process, and whether anything transfers on a home sale. The manufacturer’s own term ends at the earlier of the product’s expected life or the original owner ceasing to own the system, so transfer must not be assumed. WARR-02 settled who warrants what; it did not settle these. Never state or imply the manufacturer’s terms here.]

Not only DogWatch
We diagnose and repair other brands as well.
Being a DogWatch dealer decides what we install. It doesn’t limit what we’ll work on. Buried wire, transmitters, and receiver collars are diagnosable hardware whoever put them in the ground, so we take repair calls on the systems below. DogWatch is included, since it is both the brand we install and one we service. Where a part is proprietary and genuinely can’t be matched, we say so up front.

Already have a system in the ground?
Buried wire, transmitters, and receiver collars fail in predictable ways: a break in the loop, a silent box on the wall, a collar that stopped responding. Those are repair questions rather than brand questions, and they have their own pages.
Complete installations start at $1,399.
Property size, extra dogs, and driveway crossings move the number, and you’ll have it before any work begins. Financing is available through Joist, with terms and conditions based on your credit.

DogWatch®. We’re an authorized DogWatch dealer. DogWatch is a national brand rather than a franchise, so its dealers are locally owned and run their own businesses. You get a national brand’s equipment and a local owner who answers the phone. We also diagnose and repair systems from other major brands, whoever installed them.
What warranty is included?
Two: DogWatch warrants the equipment, and we warrant our installation for 30 days. The full written terms, which components are covered, the exclusions, and what happens on a home sale, are still being finalized.
